Cool!... but I was planning on riding the bike.

I was just trying to figure out the campground website, some of the pricing info is a little strange.

Of course, I'll have my connie too! Wink
It cost me about $38 for 2 nights.  You may even be able to share the space I got(I believe its space#17 for small tents)

Are there like scheduled rides from the rally base?  Or do people just make things up?  Sorry, never been to one of these before! Huh?  Not knowing what to expect  Smiley
There are not any schedule rides.  But there are suggested ride routes available for download via the rally website, both printed and gps files.  Attendees decide for themselves which rides sound interesting and when they want to go.

Evenings are usually spent hanging around the parking lot enjoying adult beverages  Chug a beer while bench racing.  The only organized scheduled activity is the banquet which you may not be able to attend if you don't pre-register for the rally.  Undecided

The banquet is not the ONLY activity... The Friday evening social is also a planned activity that is included in the rally fee and includes a couple of beverage vouchers and light snacks.  After the social attendees may decide to remain in the restaurant to enjoy dinner on their own.

That's a lot of entertainment for $40*

Ok, will have to find out what the policy at the campground is to share a spot.  I reckon I'll at least need a parking permit or something.  Do you plan on stopping there and setting up camp in the morning, and leaving your tent there, or ride around all day with everything on the bike?

Assuming you're camping at one of the VT state campgrounds, IIRC, you're limited to two vehicles and two tents per site.  Additional vehicles park at the ranger station near the entrance.  Hope this helps.

I'll probably find the park in the morning, unload and then head to the rally site.  Although, check in time for the park is 2:00pm, unless no one has stayed there the previous night.  Sounds like you should be covered fee-wise from what BJ_CT said and what i have read.

Ok, I think what I'll do is see if I can get #17 for Thursday night and plan some riding to end there. Then I can set up and ride over to the rally site.

We'll be off in a little bit. Going to MT. Greylock on the way. I figure to be there somewhere around 11 +/- 1/2 hour, if anybody is up there (Mt Greylock) around that time.   Anyway see y'all  at Mt.Snow!

Killer death storms approaching! Did Miller/MoB decided to head up this way at the last minute  ROTFLMAO
They should pass early, leaving a nice window before the real front comes thru. Beautiful weekend on it's way, have fun everyone!

It's only about an hour from Mt. Greylock to Mt Snow, and the rally doesn't start until 6:pm, so I figured Mt Greylock around 4:pm, then another stop at Natural Bridge around 5:pm.

Killer storm hit CT this morning, but we left after it. Arrived Mt Snow and it began to rain as we were bringing stuff into lobby to check in.  Nice place.  Heading out for a stroll to check things out. Kevin and his MA crew are here. Will post more later.

For the second time this summer, I am finishing some major work on my bike just before a big trip. Just got the bike back together after a valve lash check, throttle body synch., new plugs and air filter. Leaving tomorrow for the trip to VT so I guess I will find any flaws in the workmanship on the way. I could have planned that one better. Only had two fasteners left over and neither one looks important really. Cheesy

Checked reservations today for the hotel and found they had us down for the wrong two days- booked for Thurs. and Friday, but I reserved a room for Fri. and Sat. Got that squared away and asked for e-mail confirmation.... again (never got it the first time) and they verified my e-mail address which was exactly correct except for the last six letters which were missing. We could end up camping on the hotel lawn.  Roll Eyes

Still looking forward to the trip and hopefully these couple of minor glitches are all there are going to be for the whole trip. Sure.... :-)
