1997 KAWASAKI ZG1000-A12 Concours Sport Tourer

Windsor Green with Cosmic Gray lowers

Excellent condition, always garaged

Starts right up and runs absolutely perfectly - smooth, strong and fast

Asking price includes original OEM removable hard bag side cases with antlers (excellent condition) with Buck Sport Touring Tailbrights reflective film installed. Her Dowco WeatherAll cover is also included.


Service -

Sept 2022 (47800 mi): New Odyssey AGM battery

May 2021 (47761): Engine oil change (Mobil 1 15W-50 full synthetic oil, OEM Kaw filter)

Aug 2014 (47426 mi): Carbs synchronized. New tires installed: Avon Storm ST 2 Ultra AV55 120/70R18 on front, Avon Azaro AV46-ST 150/80R16 on rear. Replaced front wheel bearings (both sides). Periodic valve service done (clearances checked & adjusted as needed). Upper cam chain guide inspected (found excellent condition), Shoodabeen Performance Exhaust Cam Sprocket installed (increased low RPM torque without any loss of top end power). SISF carb service: carbs cleaned, inspected, overhauled, rejetted (2-Minute Mod Jet Kit, Power version) and overflow tubes installed by SISF. Vent, vacuum & fuel inlet lines replaced. OEM airbox strengthening modification per SISF’s specs (pre-emptive mod to prevent common cracking issue). Airbox tuned for optimal performance with 2-Minute Mod Jet Kit. Replaced all spark plugs (NGK DR8EA), plug leads & caps (MurphsKits’ NGK leads & resistor covers). Coolant changed (Pro Honda HP). Engine oil changed (Motul 7100 10W40, OEM Kawasaki filter, replaced both filter O-rings). Final drive gear oil changed (Amsoil synthetic GL-5 80W90, replaced filler cap O-ring and drain plug gasket). Checked cam chain stretch (checked good). Checked upper front engine mount bolts torque (checked good). Replaced head cover gasket, spark plug well gaskets, head cover bolt O-rings, air suction valves gaskets, pulsing cover gasket. Replaced and lubed both throttle cables. Installed Bergman Engineering Fuel Tank Quick Release kit (quick-release pins at rear of fuel tank, makes maintenance much easier). Uni-Trak (rear suspension) zerks lubed.

Full disclosure: (1) Top of tank has minor, shallow dent. (2) Front fender has small crack from “garage rash”. (3) A very small (1/2” square) abrasion on bottom of right fork slider, and (4) small abrasion on lower side of right muffler following a deer strike in 2006. All damage was limited to body work, and all damaged parts were replaced with brand new OEM Kawasaki parts in original colors.

OMG!! Why couldnt u be located in the southeastern U.S. of A., and not the northwest. $1300....ur practically giving it away....somebidy is going to be very happy...
 
Looks like it will serve the next owner well. If I didn't have 6 bikes (excluding the 2 parts bikes) I'd be tempted to look into shipping.

Yeah, right? I've lived in the SE all my life til we moved out to the NW a few years ago. COGgers are a bit more widely scattered out here.
