Join us for the annual Brrrr Ride!

We will camp at the Natural Bridge KOA (cabins available - recommend early reservations). http://www.koakampgrounds.com/where/va/46144.htm

This event runs from Thursday 11/13/2020 (arrival) through Sunday 11/16/2020 (departure).  We will meet for informal group breakfast at 8am Friday and Saturday and informal group dinner at 6pm at “The Pink Cadillac”.

Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/KDJpvPoTVq32  Pick Cadillac web site:  http://www.pcdinerva.com/

Semi-organized rides are planned for Friday and Saturday.  A Sunday run up to Blue Grass for the annual “Buckwheat Pancake Breakfast Benefit” is planned – we expect the event to be held Sunday, but their schedule is NOT YET ESTABLISHED.

Please note Veteran’s Day is Wednesday (11/11/20) this year – so feel free to join in early this year!

Expect folks in the KOA “Classic Camping Cabins” area (generally the “early risers”).  As we have been for the last 10 years the “COG Horseman” will be across the foot bridge in the “Newer Cabin” area – specifically cabin 63.  A communal COG Campfire will be blazing between Cabins 62 & 63 – so grab cabins 62 and 64 while you can!

The KOA has also been busy constructing new cabins – some even have refrigerators.  If you are not interested in camping or cabins the closest motel is the Budget Inn, 4331 South Lee Highway, Natural Bridge, VA (540-291-2896)

Stay tuned to the Forum for news!

Great news!  Looks like the Blue Grass Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday 11/14 -- which will be fantastic!  :great:

Of course, this information is still subject to change ..... but looking good for now.

Pick out those cabins!

Brrrr Ride is Still ON!!  :motonoises:  :great:

Of course it is in November  :)  .... but I'm pretty sure they will let our crazy Canadian buddies in by then!  :rotflmao:

The Brrr ride celebrates the drawing to a close of the riding season (for most of us) and has long been a staple of the COG NE calendar --- especially for the “COG Camping Crazies”.

Highlights include cabins at the KOA, “Roger / Clyde” style campfire (if it doesn’t move then burn it), great riding, walking down to the Pink Cadillac for communal dinners, (maybe not so much the hike back up the hill to the KOA), gathering for breakfast, freezing our tookas off heading to the Blue Grass charity Pancake Breakfast and especially seeing old friends and meeting new COGers.

However with the Coronavirus pandemic raging in SW Virginia I cannot in good conscience host the Brrr ride this year --- so it is officially deferred until next year.

I know some folks will be coming to stay in the cabins, ride and camp cooking at the KOA --- I simply urge Social Distancing, mask wearing and adherence to the cautions in CDC guidance.

Let’s stay safe!

Anybody still going? Me, Roger and Paul are still in.

Tommy - there is someone from NC registered. Unsure what his plans are since no one else is registered and the event was "officially" canceled. If you wish to reach out to him, contact me privately and I can provide his email addy.
