i used key switch on wiring from my hyper lite running lites. i had a switch for the lites. removed switch and tapped my the adaptiv wiring into it. adaptiv gives ya plenty of wire to job. all extra wiring was rolled up like a burrito and wrapped with high temp. insulation and wrapped again with 3m high temp tape. i stashed it right above air intake tube. i used adaptivs mount which is very good quality.

Where do you ride? I haven't seen a real X band except for those portable "Slow Down" message boards that tell you how fast or slow you are going.

I leave my K on because there are some county sheriff departments and small towns that still use those guns.I could turn the detection power down some and still have protection but I dont get a lot of falses as I am seldom in much traffic. I have laser on but hear its just a ticket notifier. Ka is what I encounter a lot. I leave it on full power. I leave x band off.

My set up. Magnetic base and quick disconnect power plug. Sena by transmitter mounted with detector.

I have heard some small time police dept. still use x. I read in the Ducati forum that in Jersey they still use it.
