C14 Rear Wheel

Will a rear wheel from a 2008-2011 C14 fit a 2012 (other than silver vs black)?  Part numbers are different but curious if it’s just color.

Not sure if you're still around Warwgn, but I was curious if you went full DS with your C14.
I live on a gravel road, so I have about 2.12 miles a day of gravel on my bike and in that short distance I've picked up a couple of screws in my rear tire.
Just wanted to hear your thoughts if you ever pulled the trigger on doing it.

For anyone lurking on this dead thread, this might be useful. I borrowed a rear wheel for a few weeks from a 2008 without ABS for my 2011 with ABS. After transferring the ABS ring from my bike to that wheel, it worked fine. So it can be done.

good point, i didn't take into the consideration the "newer vs older" sensor tone ring", but I have a feeling they didn't change the bolt pattern for the ring's mounting, but.. the later model rings did differ in "slot count", so placing the original OEM ring, on the replaced rim, will satisfy that all.

thanks for "jogging my brain"... :great: :great: :great:

Until I fitted that ABS ring on the wheel and it fit perfectly, I had no idea if I could pull that one off. Kind of tells us Kawasaki had ABS in the future pipeline when they cast that wheel in 2007.
