Dyno tuning - from the guys who teach it

Seems like most folks don't know the differences between inertia and load dynos. Even with a load dyno, tunes STILL need to be checked on the street to see if the fueling and most particularly the timing is correct. So why not skip it and just tune in the real world with real load?

Here's what a tuning school has to say about the subject. Check out what they have to say about double checking in the real world, around the 3:30 mark.

Wanna see some inpressive power numbers? it's easy... use higher octane fuel. I tune with 89, because I know sometimes things happen, and we can't get premium or the ambient temps are high -  and I always want a level of protection for your engine. But for those who like #'s on dyno charts, just pump up the octane, and post those big numbers !

So what of my tuning method of using road load, is it effective? How about a 182.013mph timed top speed run  ;)
