For those of us with bad eyes and a small GPS

I broke down and bought one of those RAM mount magnifiers. I'll be checking it out ASAP and letting you folks know if it's worth it. My close up vision suck-eth so I'm trying this as a method to increase the chances of actually reading some of the small text on my Garmin GPSMAP 60cs. Ducati-The thinking mans V-Twin

I will look forward to your impressions and how you will mount it. Yuma, Summer in Yuma is not hell, but hell is a local call :) 2006 Connie http://community.webshots.com/user/Lateck?vhost=community

Oh, it comes with all the stuff you need to mount it. That part is done. Now to get to ride with it to see how it is in actual use... I'll post some pictures soon. Ducati-The thinking mans V-Twin

Are you sure it's small text you're trying to magnify?? ;p Dave Muir 1980 LTD1000 - Rocket 1999 Concours - Rocket II 1997 Dyna - wife's CT-COG #3649 Merchandise Czar

Been using the safety glasses with small reader lenses in the bottom. Various designs available including tint, clear, bifocal and readers in the top. They work well for me and now can glance at GPS or map while riding: http://tinyurl.com/5jessx

Hey thanks for the suggestion about the safety glasses. I have a pair and couldn't get 100% comfy with them with my full coverage helmet and the location of my GPS. So, hence my 2nd attempt at making the text larger. But keep the suggestions coming folks. I tried the magnifier last night in the dark and it works great. So far I'm liking it... Jury is still out. I do the same think as Dan does using safety glasses with built in cheaters. Works great for me. AKA "2linby" That's 2-lin-by folks!
