Fuel gauge issue

It took me a little longer to get to a gas station and my fuel gauge started flashing alternately the top and bottom bars when saying low fuel. After I filled it up, it kept doing it. Did the float get stuck? (2010 ABS)

I have an 08 with 100,000 miles with an 09 tank (and pump) with 60,000 miles. Last year the fuel gauge started acting up. Would show one bar low after a fill up and would sometime show a bar or two low after sitting on side stand for a few days, then come back with more bars after several miles. On my last fillup last week the gauge showed empty for the whole 10 miles home but the next morning it showed full.

i just go by the odo. if you know your mpg x it by tank capacity and be done. problem solved

Yes you can go by the odo. But in the mean time if the low fuel warning is flashing, takes the dash screen over to let you know it wants fuel.

What the VID is showing isn't how my 09 shows when fuel is low. The gas pump flashes along with the gas level bars. As I remember. It's been a long time since I had a low fuel warning.

I have Brian's low fuel light eliminator installed. I have never had the flashing or jumping bars as shown in the video.
