Hello everyone,

I'm Roderick. I just bought a 98 GTR1000/Concours (we call them GTR here).
After a 6 year break. I decided to step up agian.
I have been looking for something comfortable and reliable. I think i made the right choice.

I hope i have fun with it. Tomoro i will pick it up!
The pickup is 2 hours from my house so a good test drive ;D

Roderick, our sister club GCE {GTR Club Europe} is over there with you.
Some of the GCE members are from the Netherlands.

Look them up and ride with them. Good folks.

Ride safe, Ted

Welcome! You can be on both forums if you like.

I am curious, how much are these bikes in the Kingdom of the Netherlands?

Thanks guys!
Dint knew about the european group. im very new to the concours.

I dont see many Concours/GTR around here. Many touring bikes are BMW here.

I borrow one from a very nice gentleman in Breda. It was a beautiful bike -- returned in the same condition! I bet he still has it. Met lots of other folks with 1000 and 1400s from Belgium, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and beyond. You have some mountain roads and villages that were made for the GTR. Enjoy!

Goedaag Roderick and welcome to the forum.  :great:
I used to visit the GTR Day held by the Kawasaki Merkclub Nederland in the late 90's and early 00's.
Lots of GTRs in de Nederlanden and north Belgium.
Where in the Netherlands are you?
Hope to see you at a GTR meet somewhere  :motonoises:

Welcome Roderick! Glad you found us and joined as a new member. Post a picture of your new GTR when you get a chance!

Cheers,
Robert

I have driven now about 1000 KM on the GTR. It rides great.
Just changed the battery for a new one(last owner stored the bike for about 6 years)

I just have to get used to the fuel gauge it goes to E very fast but the tank isnt empty than.
I seen also the resistor mod for the fuel gauge but i preffer to keep the bike stock.
How many KM you guys get out of the fueltank before its empty?

Very nice looking ride! Awesome to see the miles ridden and maintenance being completed. As for the fuel resistor mod, it's an easy fix and would recommend without fear of running out of petrol.
