Bought the tools, fluid, and seals from Traxxion.
One thing I would do different is to check the measurement of the piston rod to the locking nut. I didnt read carefully and the measurement listed is minimum. I moved mine to the 12 when they were lower than that. Now my rebound wont be correct I dont believe.
At any rate its not to bad a job.

Your stand for the fork tube is a good idea. I clamped the base of my fork in a vice with some wood shims. I had to stand on a small tool, to get leverage when it was time to put the spanner in.

If I was doing a bunch I would put a little more into it. I had to put it on the floor to get that spanner in and out so that worked good. Worked well for draining too.

I love the sharing and ideas of the holding stand and improved tools. I changed my fluid and seals in the early summer and it was a big learning experience. I am hopeful that the seals will last a good long time; however, I will likely be changing the fluid again mid-summer to keep things working optimally. I will definitely utilize the tips you shared. Thanks so much!

It was so easy to do the seals. Check out Dave Moss video on a dump and run fluid change. I am guilty about not doing it enough.

I love it! We had around 30” from what I read, but the winds created drifts much higher on north/south roads in West Michigan. So sad to see the forecast of 50 degree temps with wind and rain for the next week. All that gorgeous snow will turn to crap. Will need to rack the skis for a while.☹️

Our snow is always crap😊. Its either fluffy and blows, wet , or packed so harf by the wind that its hard to move. It looks pretty though until my tire chains throw sod and dirt over it 😑
