Interesting, hope they have found an alternate source for the batteries as China by that time will have cornered the market if they haven't already of Lithium Ion batteries and the material to make them.
 
Cheap, they grow everywhere, easily replaced, many varieties, eat them when done, plus, how can you possibly go wrong with a name like SPUDS? SOLD!
 
Electric bikes are the start of motorcycles as appliances. No thanks. I'll go lust after my refrigerator now...
