Kawasaki's Niken competitor?

Looks interesting.
If they use aluminum tubes and casting for the suspension members, it might have less effective unsprung weight than a fork-tube set-up. Additional advantage is that they can control brake-dive with the geometry of the suspension.
I don't see a reason why the wheelbase would have to be longer, possibly they drew it that was in the patent filing just because... keep in mind that patent drawings have nothing to do with real design drawings, they're just cartoons for the filing. It seems that the BMW and Gold Wings didn't make the wheelbase longer with their suspension designs, so I think Kawasaki could keep it reasonable also.
I'd love to tey one sometime...
