Sunday/flag day ride around Mt Rainier video

We did a Sunday ride for Flag day around Mt Rainier clockwise. Met up in Puyallup and took backroads from Enumclaw to Hwy410 up to Cayuse pass. We experienced early summer weather meaning there's a fair bit of snow melting but the pass and roads are clear! Coupled with the snow and typical Pacific NW weather we still had a few sprinkles and moisture at the high pass elevation yet once down the mountain things cleared up and got warmer again. I think this was our first ride for some of us that forgot to bring heated gear as we rode in the mid to low 30s if for only 20-30 minutes. Luckily the cloudy start got progressively better especially after our lunch stop at Cliff Droppers in Packwood. Great burger joint and recommended stop! From there we took Hwy 508 and more backroads to Rainier and smaller towns back into Tacoma.
