Paul Pelland (aka LongHaulPaul) will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 COG National Rally in Williamsport, PA on Wednesday 7/24.

As a rider with Multiple Sclerosis, Paul is "Chasing the Cure" and has made his mission to document riding one million miles with MS, for MS. He hopes to inspire others while raising awareness and donations. Whether it’s riding the World’s Toughest Motorcycle Competition on the most unreliable motorcycle ever built, setting a World Record or riding a million miles chasing a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, Paul’s stories of overcoming monumental challenges with ingenuity and sheer will power will inspire anyone.

Some of our members have asked how they can get involved.  Here are a couple thoughts.

If any riders want to attempt an Ironbutt Saddlesore on the way or during the rally, there is now the MS1000 that qualifies and having Paul as the start or finish witness is worth bonus points.

As long as you finish some time during the event and before I leave the next morning (7/25), have me sign the forms. You will need to register prior (includes a donation to the charity)

Also, the MS5000 starts Sept 1st through Oct 20th and also benefits the same charity.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the Wednesday evening keynote presentation by Paul Pelland (Long Haul Paul). His entertaining story described the trials and tribulations of his 2001 Iron Butt Rally adventure on a Russian Ural. As a rider with MS he re related this story to everyday life with an incurable disabling disease and his quest to ride a million miles while Chasing the Cure for MS.

During the presentation our attendees graciously contributed donations while passing the helmet for Chasing the Cure. Addtional donations came from the proceeds of auctioning off the 2 rally banners. The winning bidders were Chuck Kimball and Steven Peck.  In total, COG national attendees helped rasie around a thousand dollars toward Chasing the Cure. THANK YOU. Paul is very grateful and sends along his thanks.
