This is your one week reminder of our third and final Iowa ride-to-eat of the season.  Rumor has it that COG will provide a nice door prize for each attendee.

"Come ride the beautiful Mississippi River bluffs and enjoy lunch at the oldest roadhouse west of the Mississippi, Breitbach’s in Balltown IA.  Riders from Iowa, the Twin Cities, Chicagoland and south Wisconsin can easily make this a pleasant day trip, so come on out.  Plan your own route or contact others along the way.  Plan to arrive around noon for lunch at 12:30.

Overnight accommodations are available in SW Wisconsin, just one hour from Balltown, thanks to the generosity of Kim Neises.  Just bring a sleeping bag & pillow.  Contact Kim directly (ZG/ZN Kim) for details and arrangements.

Hope to see a bunch of people there!

Yes Jerry, my wife and I thought because we are nearing the end of the riding season, it would be good to offer some of the members the opportunity to make the Balltown RTE a weekend. It may be a little too far for a 1 day trip, so we are offering to put people up Saturday night. Not to say if someone showed up earlier on Saturday we definitely would go for a ride.  Our residence is in a very rural Wisconsin setting, almost directly across the Mississippi River from Balltown, Iowa.  We can PM details to those who would be interested.

Thanks to the folks who came out to the event.  Seems to be small group of dedicated people willing to go for a ride on a nice day.  Thanks also to COG and AD Brian for the nice prizes for all attendees.  Much appreciated!

Jerry

Thanks Jerry, Stan and I got a little tire kicking session done after wards. We even got back home without getting wet!
