Noticed past few rides and especially with rain today fuel odor shifting up from the C10's tank.

Filled the carport with odor as rain poured this evening! Was thinking fuel cap issue.

Seems however it was damn dirt dobber type bug of some kind nesting in down vent hose from back of fuel tank exiting beneath bike.

Have been at war with these bugs plugin any and all orifices on the C10. This was a first for this hole however.

Glad it was an easy fix!

Which vent hose was it?

There are 2. One of them goes to the top of the tank, which you see if you spill gas into the top on filling up.

The other one goes under the opening for the gas level gauge arm. You might want to check to see if it is slightly dripping there.

No drips.

Was just bug dirt in the one on rear at seat juncture.

It must do more than deal with spills cause clearing seems to be the fix.

Will see for sure next ride.
