Here's a link to the factory accessories back rest and rear rack. Hope it helps!

How soon do you want it?

I am going to get a top box of some brand (hopefully GIVI through Murphs') since Ms. Pillion said it was okay with her.

Wisconsin riding sucks for me because of the Snow and Ice so my ride is off the road until March.  You want a Backrest, let's talk...

Unreal isn't it! But they have you unless you can find a good used back rest. I personally would just go with a top case with rest pad on it. Anytime the SO wants to ride. Just pop the top case on. Plus you have the extra storage room for the incidentals she or he, may want to bring!

may, May, MAY want to bring?  I have never attached the back case for the purpose of a passenger back rest that the case has not been filled with something.  At the least it has our helmets when we stop.

I found that the stock butt rest sucked.  I used 1/4" alum plate to make an extension.  Of course I then turned around and donated it to Jimmy's project bike.

This is what I ended up installing and seems to work ok.  Great for keeping the helmet in.
