Someone on FB is selling a front tire marked 4514, si I'm guessing 45th week of 2014, tire is brand new Pirelli, he's just about giving it away. Thoughts on a tire that old. Thanks

To old for me. I have a tire that old on my old Kawi . Looks good but it feels slick and looks shiny. Don't think it's worth the risk

Really depends on how it was stored and your tolerance for risk.

You should watch Ari Henning's YouTube one riding on old tires and make your own decision

Tires are kinda like milk when it comes to storage. If they were kept out of the sun UV exposure in cool, general room temps, they are probably fine. Are they as soft as a brand new tire of the same brand and type, probably not.

I wouldn't, because I'd always be wondering/worrying as I entered a corner ... take away part of the riding fun
