Road Courses & Texas Mile suggestions

Since I have 2 Connies and am going to strip down 1 for road courses and Texas Mile runs, I was wondering if any of you have done this and if you have any suggestions to offer. All I can see is to strip everything off that is not necessary and slip on mufflers. Thank you in advance. Michael.
