Rostra cruise control installation labor?

Continuing a search for local mechanic/someone who could do the Rostra install (perhaps waiting in line for John in Nashua NH)....(any tips for other installers in New England welcome)

For a good mechanic, but who's never done the install--but who I've sent a Murph article on installation and some videos--can anyone guesstimate (i know lots of variables, but this is a very skilled shop) as to how many hours it may take? Maybe let's say a best case scenario......4, 6, 8 hours? More? This mechanic is game, just wondering about time/cost

Sorry to be no help. I installed CC on one of my C10. I truly prefer to do it myself. I can take the time to learn all I can before I start. Then take my time to do the install right. That leaves me knowing everything. If there is an issue later you have some hope of fixing it yourself.

I hear you and appreciate your can-do attitude, however time (or lack thereof) and several other significant challenges have me seeking elsewhere

Responding just so folks don't take your comment as the final one! Just not an option for me right now~~

As is always the case with the c14, getting the Tupperware off will save whomever at least an hour of time on the install. Having installed my own, I can say that I watched all the install videos I could find at least twice. There's a couple on Murphs site (iirc) and a multi episode install on youtube.com that say very well done. I mounted my servo on the right side and ran cable to the throttle body around front of bike. The creative challenging part is connecting to the throttle linkage at the throttle body. The wiring is actually a breeze and they give you more than enough to run the lines. If you've ever installed a stereo in a car, you can.do.this.

So, my unit is mounted under the fuse block; the connection to the throttle body is the nut just below the spring return on the linkage.

Some installs, have had the servo.on the right and routed to the rear via the battery box to the throttle body.linkage fyi..
