Yup, I'm still running stock throttle cables on the " right side" meant to replace em with longer, but kinda forgot about em :)

I think that was me.
 
I didn't suggest it....but I did it several years ago after doing a buncha mods that sort of got in the way of the normal routing. I was turning right in a very tight spot in a parking lot, and the throttle kept jazzing itself whenever the handlebars went to the right, because the cable was tight against the left side of the headstock. Reroute to the right side gained me about two inches or so of cable length. NOTE that my bike came to me "used" with the bar risers already installed, which just starts the problem.
