So what's the best brand/model tires for the C10?

Y'all got me interested, so I tried to find any radials that are still available for the rear of the C-10.
I looked for 150/80R-16 or 160/80R-16" Radial Tires.

Their hard to find and frustrating to select a radial. {as info from the suppliers sometimes is incomplete}
In these tire sizes I was only able to find;
Shinko 011 Verge, Shinko Journey, Shinko SR880, Avon Spirit, and Avon Cobra Chrome.

As I sed earlier I did an experiment on mine with a 180/60R-16 and like it, but I don't exactly recommend it.
NOTE: The reason that I looked at that (weird) size was;
At the time, we thought that the tall (80 series) sidewalls on the 16" Radials were causing headshake.
So, I was looking for a lower sidewall when I came across the 180/60R-16's.
After some calculating, it turned out that it did fit a C-10 and the diameter (when mounted on a C-10 rim) is the same as a 150/80R-16.
I've been using it for several years now.

Today, while I was looking, I came across a 160/60R-16 tire that might have been a better choice.
It's a Shinko SR880 or SR881. (Don't laugh) 🥴
It would have a similar (slightly shorter) OD to the tires we use, and it will have a shorter sidewall.
This combination (when mounted on a C-10 rim) gives it a more rounded profile. (looking from the rear).
** It might be a good choice for someone that wants to play in the twisties. <evil grin>
----Particularly if you have a 7th gear unit on your bike.

PS: On the front of my C-10 I use a Metzler Roadtec Z8 in a 110/80R-18.

I really like the pair of Avon Spirit ST's I'm running now (110 front and stock size rear), but I haven't seen the stock rear size in stock anywhere in a while.

My pair has about 7,000 miles on it and are still going strong. At this rate, I think they're still well over 50% life, so I've got a couple years left at the rate I'm putting miles on the bike.

I guess I'll see what's left on the market when the time comes then. I do have a set of 17" conversion wheels in my garage, so I could always go that route and actually have tire options (a number of friends are running Michelin Road 6 tires on their sport and sport-touring bikes and swear by them).
 
I just replaced a worn out set of Pirelli Sport Demons in 110/80-18 and 150/80-16 with a pair of Bridgestone Battlax BT46s in those same sizes. Had them on my bike years ago and really liked them but was never able to find them available when I needed tires until now. Cycle Gear price matched the lowest prices I could find and installed them for me. They are a great handling tire.
