Some things drive me buggy!

My ZG1000 is a carport queen sadly most of the time. As such she falls victim to bugs nesting in any hole on her,

I smell gas and have other concerns when bug larva build dirt nests in her vent tubing.

This year finally have had enough!

Decided to build a bug barrier on all vent tubes.

Probably several ways to do it. Would have loved to run all vents to one place but........

Did the five as individuals where they ended each on the bike.

They are: 1) the two carb vents 2) tank vent 3) gas gauge tank safety drain 4) h20 bottle vent. 5 vents all total.

My battery is sealed or I would have one more there .

Used junk lying around, Screen, zip ties, heavy walled miniature plastic bottles drilled for tubing and screen "nipples" on end..

Attached are pics. No need for further description would suppose.

Yeah did this while waiting for parts to be shipped while plastics were off.

Great idea ! I had an outboard motor get completely ruined by mud dobblers years ago here in Texas . Those damn bugs can really wreak havoc .

Yeah have learned on all things carburated to check for these pesky critters before turning screws or buying rebuild kits.
