I got 12,000 miles on a set of PR2's on my '09 1400GTR. The tread on the front was at the minimum but the rear looked like it still had some life until I took it off. On close inspection, I was surprised to see how much scalloping there was.
The Z8's are a huge improvement over the PR2's. Lighter turn-in and the handling improvement gives more confidence when cornering. Hopefully I'll get as much mileage.
When you change the tires, be sure to check the pre-load on the steering spindle bearings as called for in the 15K mile check list. If you don't check, you won't know.
Have fun
