Who's is up to ride in SoCal?

GrumpyGuns

Training Wheels
Wanted to put out some feelers and see if we could start planning a ride in the next couple of week I am in Chino so easy for me to get to just about anywhere in So Cal. Russ and Mark lets beat up some pavement.

I 'm in Jeremy! Let's plan it and get some information out!

:motonoises:  :motonoises:  :great:

I am thinking....Let's do a Border Run! Start in Temecula...Work our way through Palomar Mountain, Santa Ysabel, Julian, Mt. Laguna, Lunch at the Acorn Casino off the 8 and run highway 94 along the bottom of the state(along the border) and back home! How does that sound?

Have not done this ride in some time! It is a fun time! Long day!

What do you think?

:motonoises:  :motonoises:  :great:

Here is the plan

March 31st Shell station on Hwy 74 and the I5 @0830. Will be running 74 over to the I15, then I15S to 76 to pick up a few riders continue Son the 15 to the 78, up 78E to the 79S and on into Julian for pie.

I need a ride, I need pie and I enjoy riding with you knuckleheads. This may be a doer. :great:

TJ I am coming from Chino, so if you wanna meet up closer to home let me know. We can ride the rest of the way to Ortega as a gruesome twosome.

Mark would be great if you made it.

Jeremy, I figured I'd be going 405 to 5, but I could swing over on 22 and pick up the 5 in Orange instead. Let me know either of those connects with your route.

Are we going to stop at Hell's Kitchen for their Re-Grand Opening at 9am on Ortega Highway! Should be a fun quick pit stop!

Jeremy,

Met you at the 76 station on Chino Hills Pkwy, after coming up Carbon Canyon..

Meant to chime in here sooner, but family distracted me! Anyway, like I said, I should be free, so I'm probably down to join. Might have to cut the route short, but I'll see as we get through the week.

Vic

Vic P.M. me I am right by the 60 we can meet at the Chevron at 60 and Ramona then jump on the freeway and some time.

TJ that sounds good.

Rust we can, cann't stay too long I think we are still meeting a couple folks at the 15 and 76.

Russ with folks meeting us at the 15 and 76, hows about we hit it on the way home? I don't want to keep folks waiting.

I wish I read this earlier....

I made plans for a Demo Ride on a 2018 Goldwing (Dare I say that on this Forum...)

I'll get Rusty to do a Big Bear Mountain ride someday...HA! :celebrate:

Hi Matt, Yes we will be having a Big Bear ride soon...I will send you a message when it grows near!  Love those mountain rides!!

Have a good Easter!

PM for you, trying to determine rendezvous time at the Chevron...

You are welcome to make my house a start/end or pit stop point on the BB ride you are setting up. Let me know dates.

Hope you had a great weekend ride, it was perfect weather out this weekend.

FYI Demo ride was fun however new GW is not "Sporty" enough to match the C14. But let me tell you the fit/finish of it is amazing...great tour bike for sure, Honda should not call it a sport tour yet though...

You did a VERY good job.  :beerchug: We need to get these on the calendar. A Big Bear run sounds like fun too hint hint. That run down the back side to Camp Rock road is AWESOME. Down through Silverwood and into Angeles crest? Yummy. So many great roads in So Cal.

Another great Big Bear back side "Full Day Loop" --

Big Bear 18 down
62 Thru Johnson Valley
Pioneer Town (Just for some back road desert)
Banning (Fuel top off)
234 up to Idyllwild-Pine Cove (Lunch)
74 to Valle Vista
79 to Cherry Valley and Oak Glenn
38 back up through Angelus Oaks back to Big Bear

But Sliverwood Lake is also great but not as long.

Vic, She passed us going the other way when we stopped by the Look Out. I saw her go by very sad. I have another in the works, I will post it when I hammer out the details.
