While the debate discussion goes on about the best oil filters in the other thread, I'm starting to wonder if there is a better way for me to add oil during a change. Because of the clutch being so close to the oil filler opening one can't just drop a funnel in the hole, and it becomes more awkward with the proximity of the bar from my Top Block tip over protection. It's no problem holding the funnel and a quart container of oil, but it gets iffy holding the funnel and a gallon jug and trying not to fill the funnel up too much while keeping an eye on the fill opening for possible out flow if the oil goes in slower than expected. (This is where the guffaws start..." Ha!... this loser can't even add oil to his bike! Ha!" Ted, you go first .) Currently I'm using a small bungee to hold the funnel as I work the gallon jug of oil (the c14 is the first bike I've owned that takes more oil to fill than my car does.) in a way to prevent spillage.
Before I start to make one, is there a funnel available that screws into the fill opening?
Am I the only person here that finds this to be more difficult than it should be? ...or am I just doing it totally wrong?
(Yeah, I'm probably gonna lose my man card over this )
