Feb 28 Nathan's/Kohl's Parking lot Central Ave/Route 100, Yonkers NY For Info call **** Roberts at 201 767 3594 The 92nd annual Crotona Midnight Run by Ramapo MC, the longest running motorcycle event in the USA will take place on Saturday February 27 with sign-in starting at 11pm and key time at 12am. The run will cover 120 miles round trip, with about six check points along the way and ending at about 7am on Sunday February 28. This is a AMA district 34 sanctioned event sponsored by Ramapo MC. Entry Fee - $20 Come checkout some of the craziest people in motorcycling even if you are not riding. http://www.ramapomc.org/TimedRun.pdf PS: At least three COG members are helping out at this event; Mike Aldea, Steve Veiner, me and Abbe. Hope to see a few C-10s and C-14s at the event. COG Member#8594 Ride often, Ride Safe.

I've done this a few times in the past and am hoping to make it again this year, hope to see some other Coggers there.

Not an event for me, but depending on my schedule, I may pop in at teh 1/2 way point to say hello to a friend who always runs the event. -- Steve Smith, COG #3184 COG Northeast Area Director (somewhere in south central CT)

Once again I will be working a checkpoint on this classic event. (Here is a link to the Crotona Midnight Run flyer.) And No! I won't tell Rob Goldman which checkpoint I'll be working or where it is. He'll have to win the old fashion way. :) Mike Aldea, COG-528 Hawthorne, NJ

The snow may be stopping some of you from riding the Midnight Run but you can still participate by being a checker. :) We could really use a few more individuals who are willing to help. Outside of staying up overnight there is nothing hard about being a checker. So join in and help keep the oldest motorcycle event in the country alive. Give **** Roberts (201-767-3594) of Ramapo MC or myself (201-233-8987) a call and we will hook you right up. Hey, you don't really want to stay home on a Saturday night and sleep, do you? ;) Mike Aldea, COG-528 Hawthorne, NJ

FYI - I heard a rumor that the Crotona Midnight Run was canceled earlier this morning due to downed trees and closed roads. It would be good if someone affiliated with RMC would post and confirm. -- Steve Smith, COG #3184 COG Northeast Area Director (somewhere in south central CT)

Yes, it is a definite cancellation of the 2010 Crotona Midnight Run due to unsafe conditions. :gasp: It appears that the ride area got hit a lot harder than down here. Mike Aldea, COG-528 Hawthorne, NJ

Looks like we'll have to wait until next year. The Ramapo MC website now says... "2010 Crotona Midnight Run Cancelled ~ Downed Trees and Closed Roads make it impossible to re-route effectively so 2010 Crotona Midnight Run is cancelled ~ See you next year!" -- Steve Smith, COG #3184 COG Northeast Area Director (somewhere in south central CT)
