I am in a quandary. There's almost no market for the C14 in the Middle East, which means my 2008 model with 20,000km is fundamentally worthless if I attempt to sell it. Therefore, as I move from the UAE to Qatar I intend to ship the bike in a crate. Riding throuth the Magic Kingdom of Saudi Arabia creates way too many problems with Officialdom to make that option feasible.

I have just learned that my new local Kawasaki dealer has a new 2008 C14 still in its crate, He's so desperate to sell it, the current price is around $8,500.

Do I really need to own two identical motorcycles?

It sounds like a deal to me. $8,500 for a brand new bike. But to me, only if it's an ABS model. But it's probably not. That's probably why it's still there. But for what it's worth, if you you can do without the ABS, it's still a great price for a brand new C14. But it being an 08 have them change the KIPASS actuator return spring!
