:'( WARNING! About 3 miles of Arkansas 23 has been closed due to a hill slide. They say it will be closed for Months. The closure is between Cass and Brashears.

That's in the good twisty section!  The road surface has been going downhill as well on AR 23.

Have to detour to AR 16 to pick it up for the northern section.

You can still take 23 north to 215 east (a very good road) then take 103 north to Oark. Pavement ends there, but it's only about 3 miles of gravel road to reach 21 at Ozone.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ark. —A hill slide on State Highway 23 north of I-40 in Franklin County that prompted the immediate closure of a section of the route north of Cass has one lane open for traffic, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.

Guess its hit or miss if its closed right now........

Does anyone know if this section of 23 is opened?  I heard one lane was open, but cant find anything support this.
