gave the connie a bafflectomy today, method... 1' 1/8 hole saw, results... slightly deeper idle exhaust note, and I swear the throttle feels a little more responsive. Other than that no downsides that I can perceive. Mission Successful
Not much louder until you really open it up but even then it's not offensive . I recall my stock exhaust having sort of a Jetsons whistle sound which was gone after the bafflectomy .How much louder is this? Is it just deeper and better sounding, or is it louder overall as well? I wouldn't mind a better tone, and less tinny/pffft sound from the exhaust, but I also can't make too much noise when I leave for work early in the morning.
Thanks, that's a spot-on description as the Jetsons whistle sound is the thing that bugs me the most. I don't want anything loud, and I don't expect it to sound like my Aprilia V-twin or a crossplane R1, but the pfft/space car whistling sound at low speeds is just annoying. I think I'll give this a try in the next week or two.Not much louder until you really open it up but even then it's not offensive .
