Double or triple shock?

So if I’m getting a Penske rear shock, is the triple adjustable just overkill, vs the double 8983?

Overkill for the average rider IMO. 95% here would probably never notice the difference. Dan at Traxxion will most likely tell you the same thing. I went the double myself.

That's what I was thinking. The Ohlins on my Aprilia has it, and it works very well, but I figure that Traxxion can set it up about right from the start. And save me a couple of hundred...

Unless you ride the twisties at double the posted speed or do lots of track days you'll never be able to tell the difference. Save the money for your forks.

I think you are on the right track.  The Penske 8983 setup by Traxxion Pro’s and their AK-20 front upgrade is great. No regrets.

That has been known to happen occasionally  :))
