This is now ancient history but what the heck. Right? Executing a what I felt to be a perfect u-turn on my 03 C10 back in 2003. Next thing I know is splat. No real harm to bike except for slight scuffs on the left hand side case and left hand mirror. The driver of the vehicle behind me stopped to assist. Some serious damage to my pride. A few years later I was moving the 2008 C14 around in the yard when that went sour. This was taking place on a very slight incline in the yard. Just enough to cause a slight slide I wasn't expecting. Once again---splat! No harm done to bike since this was a very soft landing in grass. Only thing on my mind was did anybody see that? :) Righted bike and went on. Pride slightly hurt. AND way back in 1985/1986, I had to let a GL1200 GoldWing ease over on it's side because of being on some bizarre off camber surface in exiting a parking lot. No harm done in that one if it counts. The takeaways? Be super duper mindful of what you are doing and your surroundings.
