A young lady from my workplace was involved in an accident on her ZX-6 either today or last night. Word is that she has been released from the hospital but not to return to work. I'll put up more details as I receive them. Hopefully, she'll be okay and back to riding soon.

Well, she ended up with a little road rash and a banged up knee. And a scratched up ZX6. So, nothing serious over all. The driver was an idiot who was weaving from lane to lane, slowing nearly to a stop and then accelerating as if he were looking for an unknown destination. She saw him well ahead of time, slowed down to a crawl and then went wide to get around him. He came across the lane and nailed her anyway when she was beside him. He stopped to check on her and make sure she was okay, then hopped in his car and fled the scene. I'm wagering he's facing an automatic felony charge if/when they catch him for hit and run with injury. She would've been better off with the sleeves in her jacket even in the heat, which is a no-brainer to most here. Knee armor is the most important armor outside of a helmet due to the frequency of injury. Knees get injured more than anything else. I'll update when I know how long she's going to be caging.
