Front tire

The stock size front tire for the 94-06 Concours is 120/70-18 and fits on a 3.0 inch wheel. For both the stock rear tire is a 150/80-16 tire fit on a 3.5 inch wheel.

Quite so. However, for radials on the front, the stock 120/70R18 Dunlop was really only about 110mm wide.

Most modern 120/70 radials (ones that are actually 120mm wide) do not recommend mounting on a 3" rim.

One solution is to use a 110/80R18 radial which is quite happy sitting on a 3" rim. Gives approximately the same running circumference.

I just mounted one on my C10, a Pirelli Angel GT 110/80R18, seems fine on the road, in 2 or 3 years I'll know how it wears.

Actually the stock front tire size is wrong for the rim size. Why Kawasaki wont correct this is unknown.
The correct size is 110/80-18.  The handling is better all around with this size.

+1 I had a Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart III in the same size installed. It's nice at 2500 miles or so.

I've had three different types of tires on front, Stock Dunlops, and Avons in the 1120/70 and 110/80. Both Avon sizes worked very well.

i don't dispute the handling thing with the 110, would nver stuff a 120 on my 88 , but did you actually measure a post 94 vs a pre 94 rim, internally between the bead seats?

I dont have a post 94 handy. So this is why I ask... I can't get my arms around a generic "change" in front tire size, based on anything other than a rim change... I do have a post 94 rear rim on COGZilla, but that size never changed... just asking....

Thanks everyone. I mounted two new tires, but alas had to go back to Arizona. My Connie now sits in the garage until April 2018 when I can again jump on it and ride. I think I'll bring it back to Arizona this year so I can ride my BMW 1150 and my Connie swithching between each bike. I miss my Connie when I'm in Arizona, and miss my 1150 when in Ct.
