HFRO - Barn 23 Bar and Restaurant

Well fellow Coggers, I have some sad news.  It appears that we will have to find a new venue for the annual HFRO (Hunt for Red October) banquet dinner this year.  Barn 23, the restaurant that has hosted the HFRO dinner for the last decade or so, burned down earlier this week. The Don Q Inn hotel located next door was evacuated, but was not damaged by the fire.

That's sad news. The tunnel between the Don Q and Barn 23 was the best part. Lots of treasures in the walls.

Hopefully we can find another place for the banquet. We did have one across the street one year when the Barn was closed.

Sad news indeed.  Like Jim said the tunnel leading to it was a very unique feature in addition to being so close to the Q. 
I'm glad I got to see it last year.  Maybe a local restaurant will cater dinner at the hotel.  A nice fire and a barber chair is hard to beat :great:
