I finally intend to replace the clutch on my 2011 C14 with ~77k miles. Clutch was damaged by this operator's simple error in mounting aftermarket item and then riding it anyway, compounding the error. (https://forum.concours.org/index.php?threads/slipping-clutch-oil-impact.51098/). Any advice as to parts to use , your preferences, is a gasket needed; should I get a shop manual (where, suggestions?); something else. Fortunately, good riding friend will be helping me; however he's never worked on a bike clutch; but he's quality repair.

Hey, thanks in advance.

You can't beat genuine OEM parts. You might get by without a gasket, but why? You should have a service manual on hand, there are 2 or 3 different disks that have a particular order of installation and the pressure plate has to be indexed properly. I have a service manual for a Gen one available for $60 plus shipping. PM if interested.
