Training Wheels
Leaving Concord NC about 6 AM Saturday morning for lunch in Daytona, then the ride home. I'll be on the C10 and my buddy will be on his K1200LT. Hope to cruise through main street about 3 PM to catch the sights before heading back. Wish me luck! :)

Good Luck Dave, Hope the weather holds for ya. Wish I was heading down this week - I'll be there in the fall though. Ride safe.

Did very well. We left charlotte at 5 AM. Beautiful weather the entire time. We arrived in New Smyrna Beach, south of Daytona to get the mileage in, at about 1:15. After getting gas, we rode up highway 1 to Daytona Beach, then waited in line to ride across Main St. After that we made our way out past the speedway to see those sights. Got on I95 headed back north by 3:15 PM and arrived back home at 11:15. The bike didn't miss a beat on the highway. I was a bit sore from the riding position. My upper back muscles in particular. Wind noise was excessive too. I've got to work on that. My butt was sore by the time we arrived home, but after 16 hours in the saddle, that's to be expected. :) Here's pics on the Daytona end.... http://picasaweb.google.com/lasdps/IronButt2009 Just to show I wasn't TOO tired, Sunday I was out on my 650 trying out my new leathers that I'll be using for my track day in April! http://picasaweb.google.com/lasdps/650
