Folks: I just got this from Vic, passing the news along. --------------------------------------------------------- John, thanks for the assist, I think Bob S. is in training this weekend. Please feel free to forward my comments below to any and all venues. Thanks a million! ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Well, a brief report from the '09 Dealer Show in Grapevine, TX. No significant changes for the C14 Connie, a black metallic paint for this year. A couple of accessories added to the list, an interior bag for the Kawi trunk and a 'Navigation Bracket' that mounts on the triple clamp (which also interferes with the full opening of the glove tray on the tank). Had a couple of good conversations with the Product Managers, nothing stellar but I let them know there are still some improvements we would like to see. More to follow on that. Big announcement on the Vulcan side of the house, a 1700 Vulcan and the prototype(s) 1700 Vulcan Voyager was revealed! The Vulcan Voyager is basically the 1700 Vulcan with a Touring Package added on. Frame mounted fairing, lowers, cruise control, bags and tail trunk, stereo system upgradeable to intercom/i-Pod/CB radio. Passenger and operator floorboards. Not in production yet, no MSRP, hopefully an early '10 model but there are a couple of bugs being worked, no hard timeline possible at this moment. Bob (done forgot his last name) from the VROC club and Duane Ash from the American Voyagers Association are in attendance also, their websites/forums/blogs are probably fired up. That's a real quick gist of what I have so far, I have limited connectivity until I return home. Full report to follow after my return. Ride Safe ya all!! Vic Salisbury SE Area Director ------------------------------------------------------- Well, I guess I'll just have to keep waiting for one in a bright RED, one with cruise control. :-( tcars, John, Rallymaster 2009
