Last Minute RTE: mid FL Jan 04

This Snowbird can't miss the first RTE of the year 2014!  I'm very much looking forward to Saturday. Hope to get some more info on Kamping in the Keys. Looking to hook up with a group to save some bucks.

SteveJ,

I am hoping to make this ... after rearranging the family schedule ...  :-X

Are we meeting at your house? If so, what time?

At this time, no meet up at the house. It's kinda tore up.

That little bike i picked up for her has become a garage queen for the most part. Hope to change that, so this post was perfect  :beerchug:

You don't use Gerbing in the Sunshine State, do ya Mike??  ;D

Cold and windy here, ya'll have fun!  ;D

Fifty nine!! Ohhhh, that's nice. Single digits here tonight....................riding opportunities scarce this winter, so far.

I usta live in MN, I know all about limited riding opportunities in the winter.

one "after pic" i took just before i left for home, and they went on a ride...good times, awesome people as always!!

A couple more photos ... We had a great time ...

However ... this might be my most expensive lunch ever for me ... as SteveJ was looking at my front tire he commented "I wouldn't ride on that" ... he continued with something about "no tread" and "safety issue" ...  :-[

Advice ... one of the many benefits of attending COG functions  :beerchug:

So now (after patching my rear tire last week) ... I am looking for some PR4s ... and someone to mount 'em!  :truce:

Thanks SteveJ for setting this up. Good to see everyone and a nice ride to boot. See y'all in the Keys.

GREAT time as always thanks again!

Al is kind and has discipline (to show up and say hello to us and depart without eating those vittles!)  ;D

a few phone pics....

On the way there we found a restaurant serving up URBAN decay!

Then we were offered a classy upscale FLORIDA wine bottle holder

Then we get to the real restaurant and they served Teressa and I some of these vittles

Fried shimp, and Shrimp and Crab salad

A little view while munching

But we could've wasted the perfect weather and ate inside...  just sayin'

The ride

My bike ran slow from the time I parked at the restaurant.  I figured out why, I had parked it next to this bike.
