I have pulled the carbs off my 2006 as I thought they were gummed up with my initial ride before purchase but it appears they are clean as a whistle but when I pulled the pilot screw caps and checked the OEM settings I found 1 and 2 bottomed out, 3 was a 1/2 turn out and 4 was 1 1/2 turns out so no wonder it ran like crap. So here's the question this bike "had" CA emissions on it (They're in a box in the basement now) which means it has 130 main jets in it and I'm thinking of putting 120s or 125s in it.. Any advice for a flatlander (750' Above Sea Level) and jetting this bike right?? 2007 650 V-Strom 2006 ZG1000 Concours 1999 Turbocharged Vulcan Nomad 1979 KZ1000ST (a work in slow progress)

Look into getting a Jet Kit from Steve in sunny fla. (SISF, do a search) you won't be sorry with the results, it smooths the bike out a whole lot. Thanks for the response gents and I have emailed and PM'd Steve for info on his jet kit and exhaust cam.. Well I've emailed Rich plus got to meet Larry Buck (via email) and am impressed with the efficiency and willingness to work with newbie Concours owners. Steve got back from vacation and I have a jet kit on the way so this will make it much easier on me in the long run because plug chops on this bike would be a PIA. I might throw a NBO2 sensor or two in the exhaust and a A/F meter or two on the dash to have some real time data to monitor A/F mixture.. I just love this stuff! <BG> Thanks for the info and patience 2007 650 V-Strom 2006 ZG1000 Concours 1999 Turbocharged Vulcan Nomad 1979 KZ1000ST (a work in slow progress)
