Mid Ohio AMA Races

Anyone else attend the AMA Superbike races at Mid Ohio this past weekend. I did I don't think I'll be going back. It had been a couple of years since I had attended and  I thought then that the facility had really started to go down hill. Well its really gone to hell now. The place is filthy and you would think that at a big national event where over 90% of the spectators sit in the grass that they would at least CUT THE FREAKING GRASS!!! Somebody needs to take a trip to Barber to see how it should be done. Oh yeah, and AMA superbike racing sucks.

I was out there and I have to agree with you about the condition. They did get a lot of rain so that might have affected it. The stands are in bad shape. But I liked the racing and all the bikes out there. Talking to others in the crowd is fun as well. Off roading in the C14 is always a challenge.

Agree, talking with fellow fans and motorcyclists is always great. I just remember when Mid Ohio was one of the premier racing facilities in the country. Its a shame that they've let it fall into the condition that is has.

I also think they are tight for funds and were in danger of closing. Hopefully the Nascar event this year will fix that. Its a huge place and I am sure its big bucks to maintain it.
