Misplaced my toolkit...

Training Wheels
... on the first day I had the bike. (2009 ABS)

It's somewhere in the house, but as I haven't run across it in the past three months, I know if has to be somewhere really stupid.

I have a small tool bag I normally carry with me on trips. What sized combo and allen wrenches should I carry?

Does anyone have an inventory of what's in the OEM tool kit?

TIA,

This should help.

WOW! I had no idea those stock tools were so expensive. They looked like tools I sold at Woolworths when I was in High School.  In fact, I think thats what it says on mine.

Yeah, that is why they give them away with the bike- they are kinda' cheezy.

The only tool from the original kit that I believe you need is the spark plug tool. That tool has very thin walls and a hinge that allow it to sort of fold up and slide onto the spark plug. I do not think you could get a conventional socket and extension down far enough into the head, and the sockets I have tried are too big on the OD to fit in the head.

I switched my wrenches out with some combination wrenches I bought at sears on sale.  The screwdriver really sucks, so thats next.  I bet even the hex wrenches are made from cheese or chocolate.

Nope! I took the tools out at the dealership to take the front fender off for trailering. I bought it out of state and took it home on a borrowed trailer.

When I got home I failed to put the tool kit back under the seat. I'm not used to having an OEM toolkit. My Blackbird was purchased used and didn't come with one, and my Goldwing never needed it.  ;D

Besides, as others have pointed out, the OEM tools suck, and I just made up my own kit.

I didn't notice any liquid gasket tubes in my OEM kit, but they're mentioned in the list Greg put up (THANKS!). What are they?

Looks like I'll need:
Allen wrenches 4,5, & 6mm
Combo/box wrenches in 8,10,12, & 16mm
Phillips and Slot screwdrivers.

I didn't see a spark plug socket mentioned on the OEM list. I wonder if the one from my Blackbird will fit. It's got a "wobble" on it that was necessary for accessing the plugs.
