Murph, How delivered so quickly?

Gary,
I placed an order for some items on Saturday late morning; I expected delivery Tuesday or Wednesday.
Monday morning the USPS carrier comes up to us and hands Irene a box!
Impressive! Thank you.

Same. Placed my order on Friday, got here on Monday. Fantastic shipping!

It's great that the orders go out quickly. I have ordered from other vendors who do the postage right away but it doesn't leave the warehouse for 2 or 3 days.

Sometimes we even ship the right parts!
Majority of our orders are shipped within 24 hours ( even our rebuilt water pumps), We use USPS for the majority of our shipping and I have a great relationship with my courier (s) . We are an official " dismount" pick up for the post office as well. We ship on Saturdays too. Normally my Murphskits duties are over by about 9AM, but I will pack out orders as they come in if I'm near the shop. If they come in after our regular pickup hours and I have business in town I'll drop them off at the Post office . So, most of the credit goes to postal workers. Once I hand it off to them it is for all practical purposes it's out of my control.

USPS gets a bad rap. They screw up once in a while, and when they clearly do, we have no recourse, which canbe frustrating. Generally they do a very good job.
I think we're used to the good postal service and don't realize that there are many countries that have nothing like our USPS.

Ha

Don't get my retired USPS Dispatch clerk started on the USPS or the Anderson PO. I always joke "if the entire USPS called in sick that woman would drive the truck and fly the plane as she was going to make sure the mail moves" but sadly management and the Union broke her spirit and she put in her papers.

She is loving retirement but those old war horses that moved the mail for a long time still get together and cluck like hens

USPS for me is not so good. I think everything I get goes from Richmond to Norfolk then back 50 miles to my address. It adds 1 day to everything. then the delivery person might forget to drop the package and keep it on the truck but mark it as delivered.

Murph on the other hand. Order in the morning. Shipped by noon.(y)
