Muzzy is gone...now what?

Ok, I just installed a dual exhaust system on my C14, and was planning on using Muzzy for their extended centerstand, but just found out they went out of business months ago.  Anyone know who else makes or modifies centerstands for use with dual exhausts?

Check with dobeck, word I'm hearing on the street is they bought major portions of Muzzy inventory since the bankruptcy.  They may be glad to sell you parts.

If you know a welder the center stand is easy. IIRC I extended the arm you step on by an 1 1/2 inch to clear the left pipe.

Modifying the center stand is easy.
Grind off the welds that hold the foot lever on.
Lift the stand into place and mark where it should now be angle wise.  I used some 3/4" x 1/8" tubing
and extended the reach of the foot lever.  Weld it back together and paint it.
It takes you or your welding buddy roughly one hour to do if you take cutting, grinding, welding and painting time into account.

If I recall, I rotated the angle about 1/2", and added 1 1/2" extension.

Too bad you are way north east.  I'd say come by and buy the beer.  I have all the rest.

Hello Scooter
Do you know if tje same process will work for the twin Delkevic exhaust system?

Heads up - none of the folks in this thread have been ‘seen’ by the system online for years.

Possibly someone else will chime in.

Thanks onpman! Greet video. So it looks like the centerstand work is all about extending the foot grab. Nothing to do with the main stand itself?

I wonder if the same system would fit on 2013?

I'm pretty sure nothing changed structurally from 10-up other than the fairings but someone else can jump in. With the left side exhaust, the foot will be directly under the pipe so you just need to calculate how much more outboard to move it. On the other side you can adjust how far the up travel is so it stops where you want it.
