Now that in got my fairing all straight, i finished the rest of the maintenance and putting it back together. ( I should have took pictures during teardown). I have this one piece that goes under the fairings and i can't for the life of me figure where it goes. This is the first fairing removal on a C14 for me so there's a learning curve. I have an 2008....any guesses?

Huck it into the trash. It's an extra part.
If the bike shimmies at highway speed, then you should prolly put it back in.
I never seen one of them thingies before.

On ~ page 580 of the full service manual for the 2008, 15-8 frame page I found your part.

It looks like it is under the left side (clutch side) of the upper fairing. It is tough to see how it is attached to the frame itself, but it looks to attach to the frame rail that runs underneath the left top cover of the fairing.
