Neated Grips Install

Big Wheel
I just picked up some heater elements from Murphs for my grips and was hoping someone out there had some tips on installation. Specifically, where is the best place to wire power from so they are not drawing power when the ignition is off.

If you are looking for a bunch of other farkles like GPS, Radar Detector, 2 way radio etc. The go for Murphs power distribution fuse box, its sweet and easy to install! :) Evertything on it is switched via a relay.

I hooked my heated grip wraps to the power takeoff under the left side of the fairing. I ran the power through a nice little rheostat from Whitehorse Gear... this allows you to modulate the temperature of the grips. (for info, call Jeff Adams at Whitehorse--he'll get you hooked up). I almost needed my heated grips this morning--it was a glorious 60 degrees on the way to work! Ahh, fall weather is such a nice break from the steamy temps we've been having!

Kurt_Lammon_T: I think Jeff Adams has left Whitehorse Press. Not sure where he went, but he was a COGger at one time.

Yes he is. I received emails from him at Whitehorse the last few days!
