SInce this is such a sleepy section of the forum, I'd like to start a new discussion about new for 2018 Gear that people have purchased they'd like to discuss here, or even stuff they'd LIKE to buy.
Let's limit to Helmets, Gloves, Boots, Jackets, Pants, etc.  Body Wear new for this year, not just new to You.

Personally, I haven't seen anything YET that has compelled me to give up my $$$, but I am on the hunt for a new Top of Line all-season Textile Riding "Suit".
I HAVE noticed that there's ALOT of KLIM, Dainese, and Rukka Gear on Clearance at Revzilla which makes me think the new stuff is coming in March or sooner.
For those that know me, I've declared my interest in the ReviT Dominator GTX set, and I was able to have a dialogue with a Revi't Rep on the ADVRider Site, confirming that they'll continue production of that gear through 2018, but dropping the white/grey set and offering only Black.  Not great news, but not bad either.
Currently, this Suit has limited availability in the U.S. due to production issues that Rev'it sites as "a shortage of Goretex Armacor and Superfabric" textiles, with availability  resuming sometime in the first of 2018.

I'll continue to HOPE that means that other manufacturers are also using these awesome materials in their newer models, and we'll see more offerings come springtime.

Please add your insights and knowledge to this post, and let's jumpstart some dialogue on this section!  :beerchug:

My Shoei is going on 4 years old so I started looking at a new helmet. Good price here and decent reviews. I have a Schuberth C3 Pro I really like.  I just installed a Sena 10u that works well.  The unit is made specifically for this helmet.  My second helmet is a Shoei RF1200, great helmet, the only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t have the built in sun visor.  Probably should have purchased the Gt Air.

I wash mine 2 or 3 times a year depending on heat and bugs. Kind of funny to walk into a laundromat, find the front loader and peel it off in fron t of everyone .

Dries on the way home ....great stuff.

 
I just got an email from Revzilla that Revit has officially released their new Spring lineup, and is available for purchase.

Can't say as I saw  anything that made me any more interested than I was before, but others may disagree.

 
My Aerostitch Roadcrafter 1 piece that I bought in 1994 is still going strong as is my Roadcrafter 2 piece (bought in 2009, I think). My Aerostitch Darien Light (parka and pants) are similarly going strong; purchased in 2010 IIRC.
 
I'm almost dead set on buying a Tourmaster Sonora Air II jacket for summer riding. 

I want a 3/4 length ADV style mesh jacket for commuting when it's hot outside, and I thought the Firstgear Adventure Mesh would be that jacket, sadly it turns out their sizes are different than they used to be so their 2xl tall doesn't fit the same.

So, I'm going to try the Sonora Air 2 and see how that goes. 
 
Wow, nice prices on the Klim all season shells on Revzilla. All sold out too so that gotta tell you something.
I have a Badlands Pro ( and I still have my old  Areostich shells - the darn things just wont die no matter how old they get)
One jacket - all seasons- including rain
One pant- all seasons  - including rain
No other gear needed period! except what you put on underneath like LD Comfort which I use

I have not seen any products that come even close in quality or durability or functionality compared  to Klim and Areostitch
My dad always told me to buy the best you can .That way you only waste half your money. Good gear can and will last you the rest of your life.Think of all the money you would be saving by buying good gear.

not overly concerned, I'm 6'9" so I got 3/4 length just so it fits me like a normal jacket.  :))

I researched and found the same thing . Tried to go back and edit the post but for some reason it will not let me EDIT take it down or give warning
 
I just discovered that the Fly Strata jacket is two jackets in one!  There's an outer jacket that is waterproof, and includes an insulated vest liner...and...an inner jacket that is mesh to use in warmer temperatures...all the graphics match...even the pockets are in the same place on both jackets...the included armor migrates from one jacket to the other...they call it a 3 in 1 jacket, but, I can't see using the vest by itself...still, a total riding solution!  http://www.flyracing.com/product/street/apparel/jackets/strata-jacket/5569/hi-visblack...
 
I sampled both a 2018 Klim Badlands Pro, and a Revit Dominator GTX.

The Klim was a seriously nice piece of Gear, but sadly it just didn't fit me the way i needed it to, so it went back.
I'm not as enthusiastic about the Kodiak, given it doesn't have Superfabric at the impact zones, but i may give it a try at the end of the season for size when they're back in stock, and I need cold weather gear again.

I still have the Dominator, waiting on the Pants to come out of back-order to see if they actually fit me.
I like many things about it, but it does fit VERY euro, even in an XL i'm pushing maximum.  My biggest issue is that the Biceps and arms are very narrow (tight) and I'm not a big guy.  Going up another size would make the arm length too long, and it's already a few inches longer than I need it to be.
Technically speaking the Seesoft armor isn't nearly as nice as the D3O armor in the Klim.
D3O is next generation, and I'm not paying more $ to upgrade an already expensive jacket.

The Dominator is showing it's age, and it's one of the most expensive suits on the market, and Rev'it has no clear plans to update it until 2019.

It seems that everything is a compromise.  Decisions Decisions.
