New Honda V-4 adventure bike

So basically it's a VFR1200 with ugly bodywork and semi-knobby tires?  No thanks.  If I were to entertain the idea of owning such a bike, the VStrom 650, KLR, 650, maybe BMW's mid-size bike would be first on my list.  It might actually ride well, but given it's 'supposed' to be dirt-capable why would you even consider a 600lb bike?
 
I agree, I have had my heart set on a KLR for a while now.  It just seems that Yamaha and Honda are trying to compete with BMW and KTM.  There is a local guys with a Super Tenere around KC.  I would love to chit-chat with him about it if I see him out and about some day.
