Blue Ridge Parkway map: http://www.nps.gov/blri/forteachers/index.htm

Ride at your own pace, stop at overlooks, visit attractions, take your time.

After dinner campfire each evening – bring your campstool.

Normally this time of year the weather is excellent – or not.  Highs: 70’s, Lows: 60’s

Spring wildflowers are just opening.

Co-Rallymeisters: Ken & Marcia Ford

PROGRAMS:

The Nat’l Park Service evening programs usually don’t start until school is out so we will provide our own campfire programs.  Marcia will have a program on the “Wildflowers of the BRP”; Ken will have a program on “Recognizing Trees of the BRP”.  We are looking for volunteers to have other evening programs.  Suggestions: wildlife of the BRP, waterfalls of the BRP, attractions of the BRP, construction of the BRP, bridges & tunnels  of the BRP, etc.

REGISTRATION:

Fee: $10.00 per person (cash only – no online payment), covers last night’s BBQ.

All other fees/costs are on your own, i.e. camping, lodging, meals, beverages etc.

We will plan on a stop each afternoon to purchase victuals for that evening and the next day.

This hasn't made the SE Calendar yet, but thought it might be of some early interest
This will give the SE members two entirely new events for Spring 2015.
