Hi All, I am new to this forum and am currently not a Concours owner but I am researching this bike and am leaning towards the purchase of one. Part of my research is to go through these forums, get an idea how people like their rides and learn how easy they are to work on etc. Hopefully this forum will give me the insight I need to make my purchase a reality. I have been riding for 30 years, started on dirt bikes and went to street bikes maybe 18 years back. I have mostly owned Honda's, my favorite being a 1984 Honda Sabre V65 (crazy power but faulty cams) and my current ride is a battered 1992 Honda Nighthawk. I like the riding stance of the nighthawk, but this one has seen it's days of abuse. I bought her about 3-4 years back as a (just for now bike) since she only cost me $600. I have put in a lot of work to get her running as good as she is (80%) but esthetically she is lacking a lot of luster. Someone on the nighthawk forum recommended the Concours as a reliable and fun bike to own. I am looking to do more touring type riding and the extra baggage and cowling for wind protection is an interesting addition. I also hear these bikes do not lack any power and their tanks are large to do not require frequent stops. I will start going through the different posts and see what else I can learn.
